BAKÁS PILIPINAS and the Department of Sociology and Anthropology of Ateneo de Manila University launched the Buhay Quiapo Heritage Forum Webinar Series. The series aims to promote a dialogue about preservation issues in Manila and the rest of the country. The first webinar was held on November 19, 2021 featuring as speakers Caroline Pasion, New York City historic preservationist and Bakás Pilipinas officer, who spoke about the importance of preserving living heritage, and Dr. Richard Daenos, Department Head, Angeles City Local Government, who spoke about how the city of Angeles, Pampanga, capitalized on their food and other intangible heritage to promote their city. The Moderator was Dr. Fernando Zialcita, Professor Emeritus, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Ateneo de Manila University.
